Under-eye

Tear trough filler in Surrey

A careful, honest approach to under-eye hollows with Mrs Olesya Pavlova, a GDC-registered dentist (No. 156643) in Send, near Woking and Guildford.

The treatment people ask about most — and the one that needs the most honesty

Tear trough filler places a small amount of soft dermal filler in the hollow between the lower eyelid and the cheek, softening the shadow that reads as tiredness. When the problem genuinely is a hollow, the change can be quietly transformative — not dramatic, just less tired.

It is also, honestly, the filler treatment with the least margin for error. The under-eye area has thin skin, little fat, and important structures close by, and it is less forgiving of over-filling than any other area of the face. That's why this page says more about who it isn't right for than most clinics choose to.

Who it's right for

The best candidates have a true hollow — a groove you can see in even, overhead light — with good skin quality and little or no puffiness above it. If that's you, a conservative treatment can soften the shadow convincingly.

Who it's not right for

If the main concern is under-eye bags (puffiness rather than hollowness), filler tends to make things worse, not better. Very thin or crepey skin, significant skin laxity, a tendency to fluid retention or morning puffiness, and certain medical conditions all count against treatment. Some people are simply better served by sleep, allergy management, skincare — or, at the other end, by a surgical opinion. If that's the honest answer, it's the answer you'll get at consultation, and the £50 fee covers exactly that medical assessment.

What to expect

A consultation first, always — assessment in different light and angles, medical history, and a frank conversation about whether you're a good candidate. If treatment goes ahead: a conservative amount of product, placed slowly, with a follow-up review where clinically appropriate. Results are assessed over two weeks as any swelling settles. Written aftercare comes home with you.

Why a dentist?

Precision injection work in delicate, high-consequence anatomy is a dentist's daily craft. Over 20 years of clinical experience — and a professional obligation to advise against treatment where it isn't right — is precisely what you want near the eyes. Why a dentist is a good choice for facial aesthetics.
